REPORTING TO PARENTS

REPORTING TO PARENTS

There is no doubt that a strong partnership between home and school has a positive impact on a child’s learning. While you are welcome to book a meeting with your child’s teacher anytime during the year, we have a few formal check in points along the way.

Open Day
Scheduled a few days before the start of the school year, we put aside an short time for families to visit the classroom and meet the teacher. We do this to support a positive start to the new year and allow children a chance make connections with their teacher, learning space and other students.

Learner Conferences
The three-way meetings are typically held twice during the year. In these times parents, student and teachers all meet together with a focus on learning and next steps.
Mid Term One: Goal setting focus
Mid Year: Reporting on mid year progress and setting new goals

Written Reports
These are provide twice a year. The first is sent home prior to the Mid Year Learner Conferences and is used as a discussion document for the following meeting. The second written report is compiled in Term 4 and is sent home in December.
